Russia is trying to prevent Iran from accessing Europe through Armenia by supporting the opening of the Zangezur Corridor.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ali Motahari, the former deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament.

‘On the other hand, Britain, France, and Germany are imposing sanctions on Iran Air for sending ballistic missiles to Russia, meaning Russia is also hitting us from that side,’ he said.
