The European Union has used €1.4 billion in profits from Russia's frozen assets to provide military aid to Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the First Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis.

"The first tranche of income from Russian assets has been implemented. Through the European Peace Facility, €1.4 billion has been allocated for the delivery of priority equipment, including artillery ammunition and air defense systems, as well as, for the first time, orders fulfilled by the Ukrainian defense industry," Dombrovskis said.
