Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu met with President Masoud Pezeshkian in Iran and conveyed to him the message of the Russian leader Volodymyr Putin.

Axar.az reports that Shoigu Pezeshkian also presented a certain "report on the agreements reached".

The Secretary of the Russian Security Council arrived in Tehran on an unannounced visit on Tuesday and held talks with his Iranian counterpart, Ali Ahmadian. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, special attention was paid to the position of the Islamic Republic regarding transport routes and corridors in the region.

It should be noted that Shoigu visited Iran last month - on August 5.
