The fires in the Safarihisar and Menderes regions of Izmir province, Akhisar, Kula, and Saruhanli of Manisa, as well as the Vezirhan regions of Bilecik, have been completely brought under control, while the fires in Hatay's Antakya and Manisa's Ahmetli regions have been largely brought under control.

Axar.az reports that the country's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made the announcement.

It was reported that 203 forest fires broke out in Turkiye between June 1 and 16. In the second half of the month, this figure reached 409 due to the sharp warming of the weather.

According to the General Directorate of Forestry of Turkiye, 1,563 fires were recorded across the country between June 1 and 30. Of these, 612 occurred in forest areas and 951 in agricultural areas. 499 of the forest fires spread from agricultural areas to forests.

The report stated that the risk of fire danger in the Aegean region of Turkiye is high.

It should be noted that in June, the air temperature in many regions of Turkiye exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, which increased the risk of fire.
