Kalin highlights the importance of the peace agreement

The signing of a final peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is crucial for ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports that referencing Anadolu, this was stated by Ibrahim Kalin, head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), during his speech at the Baku Security Conference.

He mentioned that Azerbaijan liberated Karabakh as a result of the 44-day war:

“Currently, reconstruction and restoration work is being carried out there.”

Kalin emphasized that this peace agreement will also ensure the opening of the Zangezur corridor:

“As a result, regional countries will be connected through the Azerbaijan-Armenia-Nakhchivan-Turkiye-Europe route.”
