Efforts to preserve the Minsk Group and related institutions may indicate other intentions from Armenia.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, made this statement to journalists in Kalbajar.

He noted that such an institution does not exist, and any possibility of its activity is completely unrealistic:

"Therefore, the Minsk Group and related institutions should be fully terminated. Azerbaijan has also suggested that Armenia and Azerbaijan demonstrate a unified stance on this within the OSCE framework. However, efforts to preserve the Minsk Group and related institutions may indicate other intentions from Armenia. This is not a confidence-building measure from Azerbaijan."
