Israel's security cabinet has expanded its military mission on the border with Lebanon.

Axar.az reports that the Cabinet of Ministers of Israel released information about this.

It was stated that this includes the task of the residents living in the north of Israel - on the border with Lebanon - to return to their homes safely.

Thus, it is said that approximately 68,500 people have been evacuated due to Hezbollah attacks, and cities along the northern border have been heavily damaged by rocket attacks.

Both Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have publicly stated their intention to include the return of residents as a war objective.
