US threatens Turkiye with sanctions over Russian ties

U.S. officials have threatened Turkiye's financial institutions with sanctions if they continue operations with Russia.

Axar.az reports that TASS reported this information citing a source in the Turkish financial consulting sector.

“A delegation from the U.S. came. Their representatives threatened banks in our country with covert sanctions for continuing relations with Russia,” the source stated.
