Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called for the immediate admission of Ukraine into NATO.

Axar.az reports that the former prime minister wrote about this in an article for "The Spectator."

"We must admit Ukraine into NATO immediately, I emphasize—immediately! There is a way to do this. We can invite Ukraine to join the organization while the war is still ongoing. Because we could apply security guarantees under Article 5 to all territories of Ukraine currently under Ukrainian control," he stated.

Johnson noted that this would enable the bloc to protect a large part of Ukraine and support its right to reclaim its territories.
