If Ukraine allows, nine major Russian cities and a population of 4.7 million could become targets for long-range Western missiles.

Axar.az informs that this information was mentioned in a report by the U.S. Institute for the Study of War.

The report states that the target area for long-range missiles will include two million-plus cities such as Rostov (1.14 million) and Voronezh (1.046 million).

"Additionally, Western missiles could reach Kursk, which is home to 436,000 people and currently outside the coverage area of HIMARS missile systems. Similarly, the cities of Oryol and Bryansk with populations of 296,000 and 373,000 respectively, as well as Taganrog on the Azov Sea coast (245,000), could be subjected to long-range weapons attacks. Lipetsk (486,000), Smolensk (312,000), and Kaluga (329,000) are also within the range of ATACMS missiles (300 km). However, Britain’s ‘Storm Shadow’ missiles, which have a range of up to 250 km, may not reach these cities."
