The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has proposed that the EU's 27 member states impose sanctions against Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

Axar.az reports that the DPA agency released this information based on sources in the EU.

The agency stated that both politicians have recently sparked outrage with their statements against Palestinians.

Borrell has suggested that sanctions be applied to Smotrich and Ben-Gvir for inciting hatred and violating human rights. Specifically, their assets in the EU should be frozen, and they should be banned from entering member states.
