Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are abolishing the visa requirement for diplomats.

Axar.az reports that this agreement was reached during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during the general discussions of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly on September 27.

The ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports traveling on short visits between the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
