Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid.

On the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Iraq, I extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to you and all your people on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan.

I believe that the friendly relations between our countries will continue to develop through our joint efforts, and our cooperation will expand further both bilaterally and in multilateral institutions.

On this joyful day, I wish you good health, success in your endeavors, and lasting peace and prosperity for the friendly people of Iraq."
