The statements made by CHP leader Ozgur Ozel regarding Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reflect political ignorance and disrespect.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Omer Chelik, spokesperson for Turkiye's Justice and Development Party (AKP).

"If Mr. Ozel wants to criticize ‘dictatorship’ and ‘coup d'état,’ he should reckon with the ‘political crimes’ of the party he represents in every coup since 1960. He must abandon the false narrative he has propagated against Mr. Erdogan and the AKP, and pay attention to the issues raised by his party comrades who doubt his leadership within the CHP. Ozel has also criticized Mr. Erdogan's call for solidarity towards the goals of the ‘Turkish Century.’ We do not expect someone who cannot achieve unity and solidarity within the CHP through his policies to understand Mr. Erdogan's call," O. Chelik said.
