The American administration has refused to comment on reports regarding the possibility of Iran striking Israel from Iraq ahead of the general elections in the U.S. on November 5.

Axar.az reports that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the U.S. will continue to support Israel.

"I will not speculate here or discuss intelligence estimates. However, we have made it clear that Iran should not respond to Israel," she emphasized.

At the same time, she confirmed that the U.S. would provide assistance to Israel if necessary.

It is noted that previously, "Axios" reported, citing sources in Israeli intelligence, that Iran is preparing to launch a serious attack on Israel from Iraqi territory within a few days.
