On November 1, a tree planting action was held in Sabunchu district of Baku. Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of "IDEA" Public Union, participated in the action.

Axar.az reports that 1,000 Eldar pine trees were planted in the action attended by Heydar Aliyev Foundation "Regional Development" Public Union (RIIB) and COP29 volunteers.

The tree planting action can be evaluated as another contribution to the increase of green belts in our country and the protection of the environment within the framework of the declaration of 2024 by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World". The action is also an expression of support for the COP29 conference to be held in our country and solidarity with initiatives related to nature protection in general.

It should be noted that the IDEA Public Union led by Leyla Aliyeva implements numerous projects in Azerbaijan aimed at restoring ecological balance, contributing to nature, directing people's attention to the protection of greenery, as well as strengthening public control over environmental protection.

Planting new greenery in our country, protecting the existing ones, and at the same time, holding tree planting campaigns in areas where there was no greenery before, are important steps in the direction of improving the ecological situation and increasing the green areas.
