If the United States had signed a security agreement with Russia, military operations in Ukraine would not have started.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with RT.

“If Western countries, especially the U.S., had shown flexibility and signed a security agreement with Russia, there would not have been a special military operation,” Medvedev said.

He noted that Western authorities base their policies on the principle of U.S. interests being paramount. Medvedev added that this is a grave mistake that will eventually lead to the downfall of the U.S.
