I think the South Caucasus is going to fall down on the list of priorities for the Trump administration, and most likely, the incoming administration is going to prioritize the U.S.-Mexico border, China, and the Middle East.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by James W. Carden, a senior advisor to the American Committee on the US-Russia Accord (ACURA), in an extensive interview with Armenian media.

"During the Trump administration, the main priorities will be energy and security, that means oil and gas, that means Azerbaijan. Therefore, these two issues, energy and Israel, will be priorities for U.S. foreign policy in your region," he added.
