In February 2025, Donald Trump asked Vladimir Putin to help him with nuclear negotiations with Iran.

Axar.az informs that Bloomberg reported this information.

The publication states that Trump directly conveyed this request to Putin during a phone call in February.

It was noted that senior officials from the Trump administration later discussed the issue with their Russian counterparts during talks in Saudi Arabia.

"Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Moscow supports the negotiation format and is ready to assist in the settlement. Meanwhile, a representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the mediation offer between Washington and Tehran is a natural diplomatic step," the report said.
