Erdogan, Syrian leader discuss Israeli strikes

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Syria’s transitional President Ahmad al-Shara.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency.

During the call, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in Syria following Israeli attacks.

Erdogan stated that Israel’s attacks on Syria are unacceptable and pose a threat to the entire region. He added that Turkey will continue to support the Syrian people.

The Turkish President also welcomed the ceasefire reached with the Druze community in Syria.

Syrian President al-Shara expressed his gratitude to President Erdogan for Turkiye’s support in preserving political unity, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty in Syria.
