Proposal to ban under-16s from social media in Azerbaijan

A proposal has been made to ban children under 16 from creating social media accounts in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports MP Kamal Jafarov raised the issue during today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly), noting that it requires discussion of amendments to existing legislation.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova added that the matter will be addressed in the next parliamentary session.
