Bayramov comments on possible restoration of Russian House

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has commented on whether the Russian House in Baku will be restored.

Axar.az reports the minister made the remarks while answering journalists’ questions at a year-end press conference.

Bayramov said that the Russian House had been operating in Azerbaijan without any official registration and had been warned about this on several occasions.

“However, other violations also continued. Therefore, a decision was made to close the Russian House, and it was implemented. This and other institutions must operate in accordance with the country’s legislation. The activities of such institutions cannot be accepted in any unilateral manner. The most recent contacts regarding the Russian House took place several weeks ago. There were a number of unfinished liquidation procedures, and the Russian side appointed liquidators. To the best of my knowledge, there are no unresolved issues left, and the liquidation process has been completed,” the minister said.
