No new reports of Azerbaijanis injured in Iran

No new reports have emerged regarding Azerbaijani citizens being injured in Iran.

Axar.az reports that this information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

It should be noted that the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28, carrying out airstrikes on cities across the country.

According to the Azerbaijani MFA’s March 1 update, only one Azerbaijani citizen was injured in the affected area. The individual is receiving support from Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission, and the person’s condition is reported to be stable.

In response to the crisis, Azerbaijani embassies and consulates in the region are operating in a heightened security mode. Following the MFA’s travel advisory, Azerbaijani citizens in Iran are being assisted in leaving the country via the Azerbaijan-Turkiye land border, depending on their location.
