Azerbaijan sends diesel and fertilizer to Armenia

Deliveries of diesel fuel and Russian fertilizer from Azerbaijan to Armenia are underway today.

Axar.az informs a train carrying 1,984 tons of diesel across 31 wagons and 135 tons of fertilizer on 2 wagons has departed from Bilajari Station of Azerbaijan Railways JSC.

The cargo will reach Armenia via transit through Georgia.

The Russian fertilizer is also being sent to Armenia through Azerbaijan.

The last shipment from Azerbaijan to Armenia was on February 25, when 39 tank wagons carrying 4,500 tons of diesel were sent. Earlier, on January 11, 18 wagons carrying 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline were dispatched, and on January 9, a total of 2,698 tons of petroleum products, including 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel, were delivered.

Fuel exports to Armenia began on December 18, 2025, with the delivery of 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline.

Shipments from Azerbaijan to Armenia continue following President Ilham Aliyev’s October 2025 decision to lift transit restrictions.
