Iran denies drone launch toward Azerbaijan, accuses Israel

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran has denied any drone launch from Iranian territory toward Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs, citing Tasnim, the General Staff stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran, while respecting the sovereignty of all countries, especially neighboring Muslim countries, denies that its armed forces have launched any drones toward the Republic of Azerbaijan

"Such actions have previously been carried out by the false Zionist regime (referring to Israel) to disrupt relations between Muslim countries through various means. According to our investigations, this incident was fabricated by that regime to falsely accuse the Islamic Republic of Iran," the statement said.

Notably, the drone attack on Nakhchivan Airport damaged the terminal and runway, severely affected a nearby secondary school, and injured four people.
