The evacuation of Italian diplomats from Iran has been successfully carried out.

Axar.az reports that nearly 45 staff members of Italy’s diplomatic mission in Iran crossed the border safely into Azerbaijani territory via the “Astara” state border checkpoint.

The evacuation process included document verification, registration, and all necessary procedures, with comprehensive measures taken at the checkpoint to ensure secure passage.

Following completion of registration, the diplomats were safely escorted to their respective destinations.

The evacuation at the “Astara” state border checkpoint continues uninterrupted, with all crossings conducted according to proper procedures under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
