Azerbaijan’s population hits 10.26 million

The population of Azerbaijan has increased by 1,689 people, or 0.02%, since the beginning of the year, reaching 10,264,040 as of February 1, 2026.

Axar.az reports that according to the State Statistical Committee, 54.3 percent of the population live in urban areas and 45.7 percent in rural areas. Men make up 49.8 percent of the population, while women account for 50.2 percent.
