Allahshukur Pashazada to attend funeral of Georgia’s Catholicos

Allahshukur Pashazada will attend the funeral of Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia.

Axar.az informs the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada, said this in an interview with journalists after the Eid prayer.

He noted that he had been friends with Ilia for many years:

“He was always by my side. I will attend the funeral on March 22. He was a great personality, a friend of Azerbaijan and a personal friend of mine. Many times, he supported me on the issue of Armenia. I have lost a close friend.”
