Uzbek pilgrim cycles to Mecca via Azerbaijan - Video

A pilgrim traveling by bicycle from Uzbekistan to perform Umrah has passed through Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs, citing Xezer TV, Gahraman Eshmirzayev said he set out from Uzbekistan by bicycle and is heading to Saudi Arabia—specifically Mecca—to perform Umrah.

He noted that he initially planned to travel via Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Iran, but had to change his route due to closed roads, which cost him around 40 days.

People who met the traveler invited him to their homes, and he said he enjoyed Azerbaijani cuisine.

Eshmirzayev also mentioned that if he runs out of money upon reaching Turkey, he plans to work there to earn funds and continue his journey.

A more detailed video report is available.
