A prominent member of the Azerbaijani community in the United Kingdom, Dr. Ali Tekin Atalar, has passed away.

Axar.az reports, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the UK, that Dr. Atalar headed the Azerbaijan House Cultural and Friendship Center in London.

“Over many years, Ali Tekin made significant contributions to promoting Azerbaijan in the United Kingdom and strengthening the unity of the Azerbaijani community,” the embassy said in a statement.

The embassy noted that his contributions to the development of Azerbaijan-UK relations and the strengthening of Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood would always be remembered with respect.

The embassy extended its condolences to his family, relatives, and loved ones.

“The cherished memory of Dr. Atalar will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace,” the embassy stated.
