Azerbaijan hosts an exhibition and parade of classic cars.
Axar.az reports that an exhibition and parade of classic cars was held on August 30, organized by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF).
Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation Anar Alakbarov, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, other prominent figures and city residents attended the event.
The exhibition and parade of classic cars have already become a tradition in Azerbaijan, as in a number of other countries.
The event began with a display of classic cars at the Seaside National Park, featuring more than 100 vehicles manufactured before 1986.
The vehicles included classic cars registered for the event, as well as some exhibits from the permanent exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
The exhibition, which has always attracted great interest among Baku residents, was followed by a parade of retro cars.
The parade passed through the capital’s main streets and avenues and ended at the Sea Breeze area. The classic car exhibition at Marina Bay created a retro atmosphere on the Caspian coast.
Cars from different eras were displayed at the exhibition, including vehicles that have been preserved for years and hold special sentimental value for their owners.
Winners in various categories were selected and awarded among the car owners who participated in the parade at Marina Bay.
The winners were selected in the categories of “Exhibition Veteran,” “Gold Standard,” “Living Legend,” “Rare Gems,” “Style Icon of the Era,” “Spirit of the Era,” “Vintage Elegance,” “Keeper of Traditions,” “Racing Legend,” “Iron Aristocrat,” “Hardworking Legend,” “People’s Favorite,” “Voice of the Era” and “Time Capsule.”
A musical program was also presented to the guests.
