Number of residents transferred to East Zangezur announced

By the end of 2026, approximately 42,000 residents are expected to be relocated to the East Zangezur economic district.

Axar.az reports that Nargiz Garajayeva, the senior adviser of the special representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan districts, which are included in the Eastern Zangezur economic region, told Trend.

"Residents are planned to be transferred to Zangilan, Gubadli and Jabrayil districts," said N. Garajayeva.
