On September 6, the newly appointed military attaché of the Republic of Turkiye in the Republic of Azerbaijan, General Soner Oruchoglu, was presented to the Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Defense congratulated him on the occasion of the start of his work in our country. Colonel-General Z. Hasanov expressed his gratitude for the moral and political support of brother Turkiye in the Patriotic War. The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan especially emphasized the exceptional impact of the sincere relations of the heads of state of the two brotherly countries on military cooperation as well as in other fields.

The minister informed about the reforms carried out in the Azerbaijan Army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the work done in the liberated territories, as well as the operational conditions of the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and the Karabakh economic region.

Colonel General Z. Hasanov wished General S. Oruchoglu success in his future activities in the field of expanding military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye.

General S. Oruchoglu expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown and expressed his satisfaction that he started working as a military attache in our country. The military attache said that he would spare no efforts for the development of Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations, including cooperation in the military field.

During the meeting, detailed views were exchanged on the development prospects of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
