Iran has appointed a new Consul General in Nakhchivan.

Axar.az reports that Aziz Mansouri has been appointed the new Consul General of Iran in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The incoming Consul General met with the Governor of East Azerbaijan in Tabriz.

At the meeting, Aziz Mansouri highlighted the relations with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He stated that he is ready to cooperate with the East Azerbaijan province in developing relations between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The governor, in turn, emphasized the importance of Nakhchivan in Iran-Azerbaijan relations.
