Tomorrow, a new border crossing point between Iran and Azerbaijan will be opened in Astara.
Axar.az reports that this was said by Dariush Amani, the Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran and the Chairman of the Road and Transport Organization.
According to him, the officials of the two countries will participate in the event organized in connection with the opening of the new border crossing point.
Amani said that at the first stage, the passage of empty trucks will be organized through the new border crossing point. During the next 10 days, conditions will be created for the passage of cargo trucks through the border crossing point.
"The new border crossing point will put an end to truck queues in Astara, Iran, and there will be no traffic jams in Astara," he said.
