The holiday in Azerbaijan started today on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.

Axar.az reports that there will be no work for 7 days during the Novruz holiday.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On determining the days of Novruz, Ramadan and Gurban holidays for 2024", March 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, 2024, Novruz holiday was determined.

According to the Labor Code, if interweekly rest days and holidays that are not considered working days coincide, that rest day is transferred to the working day immediately following the holiday. This year, March 23 and 24 falls on Saturday and Sunday, so March 25 and 26 (Monday and Tuesday) will be non-working days.

Thus, this year, there will be no work on March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26 consecutively due to the Novruz holiday.
