Armenia should demonstrate its serious political readiness for peace with Azerbaijan and changes in the South Caucasus region.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - head of the foreign policy affairs department of the Presidential Administration, said this in an interview with the Chinese TV channel "Phoenix".

According to him, Azerbaijan is ready to continue discussing Russia's proposals in the peace process with Yerevan:

"Russia is our neighbor and partner and offers convenient platforms for negotiations. Therefore, Azerbaijan is ready to continue discussions in certain cities of Russia."

"We have strategic parameters for the peaceful change of the Caucasus region, this is more clear. Unfortunately, Armenia refuses the platform offered by Russia. "Official Iravan should show such preparation instead of looking for unnecessary excuses and joining geopolitical intrigues outside the region," the assistant of the President stressed.
