The armed forces of Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Pakistan will regularly hold joint exercises.

Axar.az reports that this was agreed upon in a tripartite meeting between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif in Astana on July 3.

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation in the fields of defense and defense industry were touched upon, the importance of the exercises held under the motto "Three Brothers" with the participation of the special forces of the three countries in 2021 was emphasized, and joint exercises by the Armed Forces of the three countries were proposed to be held on a regular basis thereafter. The offer was gladly accepted.

In the field of defense industry, the issue of organizing joint production of the three countries was also emphasized.
