In order to restore the territories freed from occupation, create infrastructure and provide a safe living environment, work is being continued in the direction of expanding the operations carried out by the Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), increasing the material and technical base and capacity.

Axar.az was told by ANAMA's press service that according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) and ANAMA, 6 more specially trained Malinua minesweeper dogs (MAI) were handed over to the agency.

The support of demining dogs, which is considered one of the effective methods in humanitarian demining activities, is used in technical research and demining operations.

Specially trained demining dogs will be involved in humanitarian demining operations in de-occupied areas after undergoing adaptation training with their handlers and accreditation according to International Demining Standards (IMAS).

"Silk Way West Airlines" company brought mine-detecting dogs to the country free of charge.
