Azerbaijan urges Armenia to justice war criminals under ICC

Armenia, as a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), has the obligation and legal responsibility to bring to justice all war criminals who have committed serious crimes against the innocent civilian population of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that Hikmat Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration, wrote about this on the social network.

"It has been 4 years since the Armenian armed forces bombarded the Azerbaijani city of Barda and surrounding villages with Smerch missiles loaded with cluster ammunition. As a result, about 30 innocent civilians were killed and more than 100 people were seriously injured. As a member of the ICC, the Republic of Armenia has the obligation and legal responsibility to bring to justice all war criminals who have committed these and other serious crimes against the innocent civilian population of Azerbaijan," Hajiyev said.
