The delegation headed by Lieutenant General Inam Heydar Malik, Chairman of the National Emergency Management Agency of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who visited our country within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29, visited the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

At the event attended by Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, flowers were arranged in front of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev's monument erected in the courtyard of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Academy, and the dear memory of the Great Leader was commemorated with respect.
Then the guests were given detailed information about the higher educational institution. It was stated that the Academy is a special-purpose higher education institution that trains specially qualified higher-educated personnel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducts fundamental, theoretical-methodological, pedagogical-methodical and applied scientific researches in the field of emergency situations. It was emphasized that special attention is paid to international relations in the academy, it was noted that the higher educational institution has successfully cooperated with relevant educational institutions of a number of countries.
The guests got acquainted with the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Center operating at the Academy, visited the conference hall, subject offices and the library.
Later, a presentation dedicated to the activity of the institution was made by the National Emergency Management Agency of Pakistan in the conference hall of the Academy.
Then the guests visited the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was reported that in the sports complex of the club, in addition to improving the physical training of the employees of the Ministry, all conditions have been created for their participation in national and international competitions, various competitions are held in the complex every year.
The Chairman of the National Emergency Management Agency of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Lieutenant General Inam Heydar Malik, highly appreciated the activities of the Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sports and Health Club, said that his impressions were positive, and emphasized the importance of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
