May 10 is the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, the great son of our people and the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that in this regard, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the grave of the Great Leader in the Alley of Honor on May 9.

President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at the grave of the Great Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and paid tribute to the memory of the Great Leader.

Then First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva paid tribute to the memory of the Great Leader with deep respect.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

The Head of State and First Lady paid tribute to the life-long companion of the Great Leader, Heydar Aliyev, prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and laid flowers on her grave.

The memories of the well-known statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev were also commemorated.
