Turkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler has visited the Victory Park in Baku.

Axar.az reports the minister laid a wreath at the Victory Monument, which symbolizes Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

The guest was then provided with detailed information about the Victory Park, created to preserve the memory of the unmatched heroism of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War and to immortalize the memory of the martyrs.

It was noted that at the entrance of the park, which covers an area of nearly 10 hectares, a Victory Arch was built as a symbol of the 44-day Patriotic War, with a height of 44 meters, width of 22 meters, and 44 columns.

On November 8, 2024, Victory Park was opened with the participation of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
