The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the population regarding the expected weather conditions in some regions.
Axar.az presents the text of the appeal:
"According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, from May 19 to 20, the weather in some areas is expected to be intermittently rainy, with intense and heavy rain in some places, increased water levels in some rivers, floods, lightning, and occasional strong winds.
Taking into account the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again recalls the relevant safety rules.
To protect yourself from floods and mudslides that may be caused by intense rainfall, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and immediately climb to a nearby height when faced with this danger.
Also, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light-structured and temporary structures, buildings, and billboards, and not stand under electric poles and wires, or tall trees. In addition, considering the difficulties caused by strong winds in extinguishing fires, it is necessary to strictly adhere to fire safety rules in windy weather conditions. should be done. Also, small-sized vessel users should take into account that going out to sea in such weather conditions is prohibited.
At the same time, to protect themselves from lightning-related dangers, disconnect electrical devices from the network, do not talk on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), do not approach power lines, lightning conductors, masts and antennas when outdoors, do not take shelter under tall trees and choose a relatively low place for this purpose, and if you are in a car, stop moving, raise the windows and wait for the lightning to end.
Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives!
In case of danger, call 112!
