Pope Leo XIV called for the unity of the Catholic Church, which should become the basis of peace.

Axar.az reports that the Pope said this in his homily at the enthronement ceremony.

"Brothers and sisters, I would like to see a united Church, as our first desire, as a sign of unity that will be the leaven of the world. In our time, we still see so many divisions, hatred, violence, prejudice, fear of those who are different, and so many wounds caused by an economic paradigm that is destroying the Earth's resources," the Pope said.
