Relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have entered a new stage of development.

Axar.az reports that Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said this in an interview with Tasnim.

“I believe that relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have entered a new stage of development. This is due to the official visit of the esteemed President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Pezeshkian, to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the discussions held by our esteemed President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, one-on-one and together, as well as discussions held at the level of delegations, which have given a new impetus and a new breath to the development of Iran-Azerbaijan relations. Based on this, the task before us with our Iranian colleagues is to take these relations further forward,” Hajiyev said.
