The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been unable to launch a rocket to send a research satellite into space due to a problem with one of its engines.
Axar.az reports that the head of the organization, V. Narayanan, informed about this.
Today, we were planning the 101st launch of the PSLV-C61 EOS-09 mission from the Sriharikota spaceport. PSLV is a four-stage rocket, and its performance was normal until the second stage. The third-stage engine started working well, but during the burn, we observed problems that prevented the completion of the mission, and the pressure in the engine casing dropped. We are investigating what happened and will come back with answers as soon as possible,” Narayanan said.
It should be noted that EOS-09 is an Earth observation satellite. It can take images in any weather conditions, day or night.
