Greek President Konstantinos Tassulas has sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that the congratulatory letter reads:

"I extend to you my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Independence Day, and my best wishes for the prosperity of your people.

I take this opportunity to express Greece's readiness to deepen our relations and strengthen our cooperation in all areas for the benefit of our peoples.

I am confident that we can work together to promote peace and stability in the wider region, based on the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

Your Excellency, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration."
