The Azerbaijan national under-17 football team has recorded a victory in its second match of the UEFA Development Tournament.

Axar.az reports that the team faced Kazakhstan’s U-17 national side in a match held at the “Namus” Stadium in Shymkent. The regular time ended in a 1–1 draw.

Azerbaijan took the lead in the 18th minute through a goal by Ruslan Guliyev, but Kazakhstan later equalized, sending the match to a penalty shootout.

In the post-match penalties, Aqil Nabiyev’s side proved more accurate, securing a 4–2 victory.

The Azerbaijan U-17 team will play its final match of the tournament against Pakistan on April 30.
