Cameroon hosts the African Open Cup.

Axar.az informs that, Azerbaijan is represented by 5 female judokas in the international tournament, which will be awarded licenses for the Summer Olympic Games to be held next year in Tokyo.

All Azerbaijani athletes have won medals in Cameroon. Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg) and Larisa Florian (57 kg) won all their opponents and won the gold medal. Gultac Mammadaliyeva, who competed in the weight class up to 52 kg, lost only in the final and took 2nd place. Aisha Gurbanly (48 kg) and Ichchorloo Munchcheedev (57 kg) won the bronze medal.

116 judokas from 24 countries competed in the African Open Cup.
